Univision adds two Disney Junior hit series to its Planeta U Saturday morning children’s block

Two animated series from Disney Junior –Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny– have begun airing exclusively in Spanish on Univision Network’s Saturday children’s programming block, Planeta U. Both series premiered during Planeta U on Saturday, May 31. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is broadcast on Univision every Saturday at 8am ET/PT, while episodes of Handy Manny air at 9am ET. Both series also currently air in English on Disney Junior.“Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny have proven popular with our preschool viewers and their parents around the world and we are delighted to introduce these Disney Junior series to a new audience of preschoolers and their families on Univision’s Planeta U,” said Nancy Kanter, EVP, Original Programming, and general manager, Disney Junior Worldwide. “Adding these two exceptionally regarded shows to our lineup speaks to our commitment to deliver high quality, educational programming to our younger audience,” said Alberto Ciurana, president of Programming and Content, Univision Communications, Inc.
